On November 21st, as part of the activities marking my 60th birthday, the DAAF Team visited Adeoyo Maternity Hospital. During the visit, we inspected the ongoing refurbishment of the Children’s Immunization Centre, a project we have undertaken to enhance the facility’s operations and improve healthcare delivery for the community. The visit also provided an opportunity to discuss progress with the directors and ensure the project aligns with the hospital’s needs and goals.

In addition to the inspection, we held a productive meeting with the hospital’s leadership to explore other areas where DAAF could offer support. The directors shared their wish list, highlighting pressing needs that could further improve the hospital’s services. They expressed profound gratitude for our commitment and contributions, reinforcing the importance of collaborations that prioritize community well-being.

Following our recent visit and discussions at Adeoyo Maternity Hospital, we received an urgent call today about a 14-year-old girl in critical need of a blood transfusion. The situation was dire, as the family could not afford the two pints of blood required to save her life. Without hesitation, we stepped in to cover the cost and ensure the necessary medical intervention was carried out promptly.

This immediate response underscores our commitment to supporting vulnerable individuals in their time of need. We are grateful for the opportunity to make a difference in this young girl’s life and remain dedicated to providing assistance wherever it is needed most. Together, we continue to bring hope and relief to our communities.
